We live in a rapidly changing world. With Own It!, teens develop the confidence and competencies they need to forge their own path in this ever-evolving global landscape.
From developing critical and creative thinking skills and social/emotional aptitudes to working effectively in a group, Own it! helps create confident, future-ready learners who are able to meet the challenges ahead.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- You will be fully motivated, interested, ready and eager to learn in the next level.
- You will be more creative, and they are easy to anchor their knowledge effectively.
- You will learn about the world and around them as they learn English.
- You will be able to carry out independent research outside the classroom.
- You will be able to appreciate cultural diversity, respect differences and develop human values.
- Your skills, awareness and understanding can be easily developed.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Completing UTEC synchronous language learning by attending teacher’s presentation and facilitation based on the schedule.
- Completing UTEC asynchronous language learning through:
- Individual Collaborative Learning (completing reading, language projects and research assignments).
- Work-based Learning (completing scheduled discussions and peer practice with observation and feedback).
- Self-reflection (completing reflective journal assignments).
- e-Portfolio (collecting learning, practice, and reflection evidence assignments).
- Completing Quizzes and Assessments (completing competency and proficiency assessments).
- Actively joining:
- UTEC Lens Update.
- UTEC English Speaking Community.
- Bekasi Pros Toastmasters Club International.
ASSESSMENT
Own It! syllabus is based on the Cambridge English Secondary syllabus and is validated by Cambridge English Language Assessment. This means that the material has been checked by the Cambridge exams experts and officially confirmed to be appropriate preparation for the revised Key English Tests.
